Privacy Policy

Effective July 5, 2026. This policy explains how Watchtrader handles information when you use the website or mobile app.

Overview

Watchtrader provides watch listing research, market comparisons, and seller profile tools. This policy applies to the Watchtrader website and mobile app operated by JonLuca DeCaro.

Information We Collect

We collect information needed to provide and secure the service, including:

  • Account details received from Apple or Facebook, such as your name, email address, provider identifier, and avatar. Apple may provide a private relay email address if you choose Hide My Email.
  • Profile details you choose to add and seller profiles you claim.
  • Watch listings, comments, media, seller details, and related market metadata from supported sources.
  • Technical information such as secure session data, request logs, device or browser details, and error reports.

How We Use Information

We use information to authenticate users, operate Watchtrader, display and organize market research, maintain claimed profiles, troubleshoot problems, protect against misuse, maintain backups, and improve reliability. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with providers that support hosting, authentication, database or media storage, and security; when required by law; or when necessary to protect Watchtrader, its users, or others. Apple and Meta process sign-in information under their own privacy policies.

Cookies and Sessions

Watchtrader uses cookies and encrypted device storage to keep users signed in and support core security and application functionality. Blocking or clearing this storage may sign you out.

Retention and Deletion

Account information is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account from Profile in the mobile app. Account, profile, session, and profile-claim data are removed when the deletion completes, except information we must retain for legal or security reasons. Market listings obtained from external sources are not treated as content created by your Watchtrader account.

Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

Watchtrader relies on service providers including Apple and Meta for authentication, Northflank for application hosting and database infrastructure, and Cloudflare for media storage. Their handling of information is governed by their agreements and privacy policies.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13, and the operator does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as Watchtrader changes. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the service when appropriate.
